Data Studio Booster Terms of Use

Data Studio Booster is a Dataslayer feature designed to significantly improve data loading speeds in Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio), optimizing the performance of reports and dashboards.

1. How Data Studio Booster Works

When Data Studio Booster is enabled, queries configured in Data Studio are stored on Dataslayer's servers, and their data is automatically refreshed according to the update frequency and schedules configured by the user.

This means that when Data Studio requests data, it is retrieved directly from the tables stored on our servers, rather than triggering a new request to the original data source APIs.

When a new query is executed and its data is not yet stored on Dataslayer's servers, an initial request is made to the original data source to retrieve and store the information for the first time. From that point on, the data is retrieved from our servers and refreshed according to the configured schedules.

This process significantly reduces report loading times.

2. Data Refresh and Availability

Users should be aware of the following conditions:

  • Scheduled updates: Data stored on Dataslayer's servers is refreshed according to the schedules configured by the user.
  • No real-time API requests for stored data: Once a query is stored on our servers, Data Studio Booster does not make new API requests to the original data sources each time a report is opened or refreshed in Data Studio. Instead, it retrieves the stored data.
  • Data availability: The information displayed in Data Studio reflects the most recent successfully completed update. Any changes made to the original data sources after that update will not be reflected until the next scheduled refresh has been successfully completed.
  • Schedule configuration: Users are responsible for configuring an update frequency that meets their reporting needs, understanding that stored data will not be refreshed outside the configured schedules.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By enabling Data Studio Booster, users acknowledge and agree that the data displayed in Data Studio will be retrieved from tables stored on Dataslayer's servers, except when an initial request to the original data source is required, and that subsequent data updates will depend on their configured refresh schedules.
